The following notes were taken from History documentary: Hitler and the Occult, October 3, 2007.
The young Hitler dreamed of becoming an artist, moving to Vienna to study at the Academy of Fine Arts, but he failed the entrance exam. He drifted for a time, until he discovered the Astra pamphlets, which propagated hatred of Jews, based on belief of a super race and a sub human race. Hitler embraced the occult form of prejudice for the rest of his life.
In 1913, Hitler moved to Germany and enlisted to serve in WWI. He later claimed that he was personally protected by providence, hearing disembodied voices which guided him to safety. Hitler became the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party (NAZI) and developed the swastika symbol to represent power and spiritual guidance. On Nov 9, 1923, the Nazis marched on Munich Town Hall in an attempt to seize power, but the coup was suppressed. Hitler was charged with treason, but the trial gave Hitler a public pulpit to spew his anti-Semitic beliefs. He emerged from the incident as a patriot, a leader of a holy cause.
The occult groups of the 20th Century foretold of the coming of the messiah. Hitler proclaimed he was the messiah, and his message was contained in Mien Kampf. He began to recruit soldiers who swore allegiance to Hitler himself, rather than the Nazi party, a small regiment known as the SS. Consumed by occult myths of Arian supremacy and reincarnation, Hitler instituted elaborate ceremonies and rituals for training SS recruits.
Eric Van Haussen was a stage magician, who helped Hitler develop his stage presence with exaggerated motions and repetitive, perhaps hypnotic messages. Hitler was able to sway mass audiences. His power grew and his political influence swelled until he was offered the position of Chancellor.
Hitler based his religious beliefs on stories of the heroic knight, Sir Percival, who dedicated his life searching for the Holy Grail. Hitler used Christian vocabulary to align himself to Christian values, redesigning Jesus as a German figure and organizing his staff to mirror Jesus and the apostles. Arian youth were molded to serve Hitler with indoctrination of symbols and ceremonies.
Hitler bastardized Darwin’s theory of survival of the fittest, to accommodate his desire to create a new race. Hitler also searched for artifacts to support his theories that the Arian race was blessed. Religious artifacts took on new significance.
On Nov 2, 1939, Carl Croft, an astrologist, predicted that Hitler’s life would be threatened by an explosion. Croft’s accurate prediction endeared him to Deputy Furor Rudolph Hess. Hess’s belief in astrology led to his capture by British forces in 1941. British intelligence mistakenly believed Hitler shared Hess’s obsession with astrology so they undertook a plan to distribute false Nostradamus prophecies throughout Germany, in an attempt to undermine Hitler’s power.
Hitler preferred to see Germany destroyed rather than humiliated by surrender. Part of the occult is it usually ends in Apocalypse. Hitler committed suicide on April 30, Walpurgis Night, which is an important date in Satanism. Hitler’s hold over Germany evaporated and many claimed they were controlled by his occult power of persuasion.
