How to write

 

If you’d like to contribute to the Fictionway writers community, please follow these guidelines:

Upon submission you are attesting that you are the author of and own all rights to the work. 

All submissions should be at least 500 words.

Articles should be original - not published elsewhere.  I will not post duplicate content, although I am not asking for exclusive rights to the work, only first publishing rights.

Content should be relevant to writers. You can provide tips for other writers including: How to Write, Time Management, Freelance Writing - Finding Jobs or you can tell us about your experience as a writer, whether it was overcoming writer’s block or finding an agent. 

You may be an expert in a particular genre (sci fi, romance, etc.) or field (police procedure, legal, etc) in which case, your article may be research material for other writers.

Current events or breaking news stories can be submitted, if they are related to writing - such as Story Ideas or True Crime. 

Include any images you would like added to the post, otherwise, I may add an image of my own choosing.

Include a short author bio (<50 words) and a snippet about your book.  You can include two links in your article or bio - these links should be to an outlet where your book is sold or to your personal blog.    You can also include an affiliate banner (related to writing or time management products only) or up to three links to Amazon using your affiliate account number.

Fictionway will not link to any sites that have adult content, including personal blogs or affiliate sites.

Fictionway reserves the right to refuse any article, if it’s deemed unrelated to writing, poorly executed or is insufficient content. 

Fictionway reserves the right to re-title the article or add key word phrases to the content to optimize search engine ranking.  I will not edit your work (unless its something minor - spelling or punctuation error) without discussing it with you first.
